How to Install Windows Using Boot Camp

I wrote this tutorial more than a year ago, but I haven't had a chance to publish it until now. You will notice that you can't install Windows on this drive, but all you really need to do is format the drive again, and then you're ready to go.

Once you've formatted the drive, you will see disk drives where you will install Windows. Of course, you will choose the one that you just created a while ago as an EXFAT drive. You will then see two additional orange icon drives to choose from. Choose EFI, and it will boot to the Windows installer.

Next, go to Disk Utility and partition the drive dedicated for Windows. Make sure the disk space is at least around 120-200 GB if you have a disk with large capacity. This is just my recommendation because of future Windows updates that will occupy more storage spaces. Don't forget to make the partition file type as EXFAT.

After creating the partition using Boot Camp Assistant, create a WININSTALL using a USB drive (preferably minimum of 16GB).

To start installing Windows, boot your Mac and hold the OPTION key before the logo shows up.

TIP: After you install the April 2018 version, you can always update it to the October 2018 update (1809). IMPORTANT: Download the April 2018 version, not the October 2018 version, or you will have a hard time trying to install Windows on your Mac later.

Using another third-party software like VM Fusion or Virtual Box is not what I really prefer because I cannot use the full power of my MacBook's hardware like CPU and graphics card. The best part is that it's free and legit!
